LWVNEMI Hosts Four Public Candidate Forums

Each candidate will have a chance to make a short introduction and answer questions submitted by the audience. The audience will remain silent but will submit questions on cards that will be screened to avoid inappropriate or duplicate questions. The moderator will present the questions to the candidates.

Forum 1: ACC, Granum Theatre Wednesday, July 17 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Candidates running for 106 State House District have been invited to speak: Cam Cavitt (R), Todd Smalenberg (R), Trina Borenstein (D), Mary Hamilton (D).  Candidates running for Alpena County Commissioners have been invited to speak: District 6 — Kevin Osbourne (R), Todd Britton (R). District 7 — Bonnie Krajiniak (R), Travis Konarzewski (R).

Canceled Forum 2: ACC, Granum Theatre on Thursday, July 18 from 6:30-8:30 pm.  Candidates for US Congressional District have been invited: Jack Bergman (R), Josh Saul (R), Callie Barr (D), Bob Lorinser (D) – Canceled

Forum 3: Rogers City Theater on Tuesday, July 23 from 6:30-8:30 pm. Candidates for Probate Judge and Presque Isle Prosecutor have been invited. Candidates for Probate Judge are James Gilbert, Kimberly Gildner, Jeremiah Wirgau, and Matt Wojda.  Candidates for Presque Isle County Prosecutor ate Ken Radzibon (R), Zakary McLennan (R).

Forum 4: Alcona County Library in Harrisville on Wednesday, July 24 from 6:30-8:30 pm.  Candidates for Alcona County Commissioner in contested races have been invited. Candidates are District 2– Craig Johnston (R), William Thompson (R); District 5 –John Terry Small, (R) Kevin Boyat, Sr. (D) District 3—Carolyn Brummund (R), Joe Lukasiewicz (D).
